Luc Lammens, graduated as Master in Scientific Applied Economics, with specialization in International Business Affairs (KUL 1988).
He is consultant for innovative, start up and early stage companies. He is active in Corporate Spin Outs and spin-offs from the University of Antwerp. Besides he is in charge of specific financial missions and technology transfer projects.
He is contributing to the Intellectual Property Policy of the Institute for Tropical Medicine.
Previously, he was during 10 years active at Janssen Pharmaceutica nv. Primarily as a financial analyst for in-licensing agreements. He was also responsible for financial control and reporting on sales and marketing departments. Prior to that, he was member of the business development group from the Belgian-Chinese Joint-Venture : Xian-Janssen
He started his career with a European sugar producer (Tiense Suikerraffinaderij - Südzucher) and a large London trading company (E.D. & F. Man).
He is in charge of entrepreneurial initiatives to stimulate the creation and growth of SME’s. He is board member for various companies.
Christel Verleyen graduated as Master in Law (K.U.Leuven 1986) and Master in Intellectual Property (K.U. Brussels).
She is lawyer at the Brussels Bar as well as in Bruges. Since 2003 she became active in international law and intellectual property law. Her experience was built up through practical cases while being in charge of law firms as well as technology ventures.
BUSINESS PARTNER
Christian Cappelle is Master in Law (K.U.Leuven), Master in management and administration (U.C.L.) and MBA (University of Chicago).
After graduation, he started to work for the Royal Dutch/Shell group in Belgium and in the Netherlands where he occupied several functions, mainly in finance and marketing. In his last job he was Senior Oil Products Representative and Finance manager for Belgium and Luxembourg. He was member of the board of Belgian Shell n.v., Shell Luxembourgeoise s.a., Distrigas n.v. and joint ventures.
Since 2000, he advises and coaches start-ups and small and medium enterprises (SME’s) in general and financial management and collaborates with the transfer technology organizations of universities.
Recent projects include coaching of entrepreneurs, analyzing and improving the profitability of SME’s, writing of business and financial plans, creation of the Vives seed capital fund and financial management of the IT Partners venture capital fund, valuation of companies (i.a. for a squeeze-out), evaluation of financing requirements and negotiations with banks and investors, implementation of management accounting and cash planning reporting systems, negotiation of acquisition and sale of companies.
He is a consultant approved by the Flemish and Walloon governments.
